As the HR Manager for Shorr Packaging Corp, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of employee relations, talent management, employee engagement and performance management. You will work closely with senior leaders, managers and employees to ensure a positive and productive work environment. You will also design and implement innovative and effective HR programs, policies and initiatives that align with the organization's vision, values and goals.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations

  • Develop and implement employee relations and talent management strategies and policies that foster a culture of trust, respect, collaboration and high performance.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues, such as conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, grievances, performance improvement plans, terminations, etc.
  • Manage and resolve complex and sensitive employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies.
  • Provides coaching and counseling for Business Partners on trends in internal employee relations issues
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment

Employee Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders, managers and employees, acting as a trusted advisor and partner on all HR matters.
  • Creates best in class onboarding program and partners with the business to ensure smooth on-boarding and assimilation to Shorr
  • Manages the annual employee engagement survey program, initiatives and actions plans along with pulse surveys
  • Develops and implements engagement strategies in partnership with the business
  • Oversees and administers the Shorr Values in Action Recognition Program

Talent/Performance Management

  • Partners with CHRO to lead talent reviews/9 Box and ensures there is an effective succession planning strategy in place for all key positions
  • Works with CHRO on the creation of development plans and high potential program for top talent
  • Lead and coordinate the performance management process, including goal setting, feedback, coaching, recognition, performance reviews and career development.
  • Design and deliver leadership essentials training and partners with outside consultants to develop high potential leadership programs
  • Stay abreast of current trends and developments in employee relations and talent management, and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field. HR certification preferred
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years’ progressive experience in multiple human resource disciplines, including talent management, compensation and benefits practices, employee relations, diversity, employment laws
  • Strong consultative skills and ability to influence
  • Credible, proactive and trusted thought-partner who has built relationships and delivered results
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating leadership
  • Ability to thrive within ambiguity and drive complex projects
  • Be self-directed and motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to handle complex and sensitive situations with tact and professionalism
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR systems and tools
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Critical thinker with success in developing innovative solutions to business issues
